CS 31.08.07: There's a little bit of prevarication in this song. Is it easier to start something or finish it? Here's a nice picture of a little guy who sits on my desk and helps make other complicated decisions. Sending lots of love from cgirlxxx

I’d run down your gun
If I was a different woman
I’d take a stand
I just can’t get close enough

Doctor Mister Doctor
Its doesn’t feel like it oughta feel
I’m making plans
But plans are what disasters are made of

& It looks like we’re no good for one and other
But I never saw a fool I couldn’t fake
& tonight, tonight is just the darkest evening ever
But I never had a foot-hold, a shook I couldn’t shake

Mind how you kick it in
What have you been drinking?
I’m leaving tracks
Walking round your silhouette

Its in your head
Some things are never easily said
It’s a battle-plan
We love the ones that we can   hurt the best

& It looks like we’re no good for one and other
But I never saw a fool I couldn’t fake
& tonight, tonight is just the darkest ever colour
But I never had a choke-hold, a shook I couldn’t shake

& I’m waving, waving my wallet at the moon
& I’m firing, firing a 100 gun salute
I’m doing pirouettes
I’m shuffling my lucky deck
Run, run, run the gun down

I’ve got a feeling
A boat to sail away in
An old tin can
I just can’t get out of this stuff

Oh, mother sugar
It doesn’t feel like it oughta feel
You had a plan
You took that trick and tied it to my tail

& It looks like we’re no good for one and other
But I never saw a fool I couldn’t fake
& tonight, tonight is just the darkest evening ever
But I never had a shook I couldn’t shake

Gravatar I like the way the lyrics here create a whole atmosphere (an ambience, if you will)--a mood, a setting, a story, even a set of nuanced inflections. The song's narrator is humanized in the process, taking what might be a harsh set of ideas and expressed emotions, and turning them into an understandable part of life. 9/1/2007 12:08 AM | gurdonark

Gravatar Oh la la..! Mademoiselle, i feel it this one..i FEEL IT. Curious this contrast between the melancholy of your voice and the optimist beauty of the melody. Sorry, but one more time, i think that it's going to be a "joyful song". Nice photo too. Your old "site-programmer", i suppose..?. Have a "Bonne journée" Mademoiselle. 9/1/2007 12:23 PM | ditto ditto

Gravatar Great IMT stuff - although mix is a bit murky. But really good tune. Also really like 3rd attempts mix - sounds like a John Carpenter soundtrack to me - would be a good tune to run manically through a brutalist prison compound in a 1987 version of the future to. 9/30/2007 9:12 PM | RedD

Gravatar Whowever said that dub and electro couldn't be merged in a cheerful fashion never heard Krakoa's remix of October. Quirky fun, krakoa!

n.b.: the link to Krakoa on the "new remixes" entry inadvertently links to the march page.
